An excellent, authentic example of 19th-century Southeast Asian currency, famously known as "Tin Hat Money." This traditional four-sided pyramid coin features the iconic raised pagoda center surrounded by a stylized floral pattern on the base plinth.
This specific piece has an appealing dark gray patina and historic, contemporary holed styling—traditionally done by merchants to string multiple coins together for transport. In Choice VF condition for its type, with sharp edge details remaining despite the soft nature of historical tin.
